Our preschool is much more than a business to us—it is our true passion and an important part of our lives. For 25 years, my wife and I have worked together to create a place where every child feels safe, loved, and valued. Every day, we wholeheartedly support children as they discover the world, develop their talents, and build confidence. Our greatest joy comes from watching their progress, seeing their smiles, and celebrating their first little achievements. We believe every child deserves individual attention, care, patience, and respect. We put our hearts into our work because we understand the great responsibility that comes with caring for young children.
Throughout the years, we have gained invaluable experience, yet we continue to learn something new from the children and their families every day. We have built our preschool around a warm, family atmosphere, mutual trust, and close partnerships with parents. Our dedication to this work brings us immense fulfillment, knowing that we help lay the foundation for our children’s futures. Our mission is to give children a happy childhood and create a place they look forward to coming to each morning with a smile.

When you tour ABCD Academy, you meet the people who would be with your child every day - not a sales coordinator. Your child's teacher answers your questions directly and you see how they interact with the children already in the room.

Staff Stability Matters
Young children build trust through consistency - the same person every morning, someone who notices when something is off. When a teacher leaves, especially from an infant or toddler room, children feel it. Their routine breaks. Their progress slows.

Can I meet my child's specific teacher before enrolling at ABCD Academy?
Yes. During your tour, we walk you through the classroom your child would join and introduce you to their teacher in person – not a department head, not a stand-in.
What happens if my child's teacher is absent?
If a teacher is absent, another qualified member of our staff covers the classroom, so the daily schedule continues as usual and staffing always meets Illinois DCFS requirements.
How do ABCD Academy teachers handle behavioral challenges in the classroom?
Our teachers respond calmly and positively – they redirect, explain, and help children name their feelings and solve problems with classmates. If a challenge continues, the teacher talks with you so we can support your child together, at school and at home.
Do ABCD Academy teachers track and share my child's progress?
Yes. Each age group has its own lesson plan and teaching goals, and your child’s progress is tracked and shared with you regularly. You also receive daily updates through our parent app.
